Much of the previous Court's politics were visible in the arrangement of the Hunting Grounds. The old Prince of Clan Toreador - perhaps as a snub to the Ventrue who intermingled too regularly with Toreador Havens, business and leisure - slapped the Brujah Hunting territory immediately next to them. ("They like to 'be responsible' eh?")

Hunting grounds were considerably larger in the Victorian era than they are in modern nights. The traveller who is ill prepared risks his very unlife, as ancient vampires expand their Hunting grounds to catch any ignorant of the city's feeding zones.

The Brujah territory was originally bigger and included East Twerton, but over time the Prince decreased it as political problems between neonates of Clan Brujah and Toreador increased in Court. By the end of 1879, Brujah territory was a smaller strip of land which included more industrial estates than residences or night-life that they could feed from.

As for the South: The Malkavians pushed with startling passion for territory expansions, perhaps to deter the few Brujah who fed very close to their outskirts. It was south of the river; the Prince had little reason to care enough to say no. The Malkavians as a clan represented a good portion of the city's Kindred populace.

Tremere territory was larger (see purple area) but has recently been shrunk due to them all leaving. Whether the new Prince makes any further changes to territory remains to be seen.
